Ethical businesses will clearly and explicitly tell you that you are signing an online contract, and they will spell out for you the details of that contract. Frontpoint Security did none of that for me.

The so-called contract was buried within pages of legal gibberish, and I had no idea that I signed a contract until I decided to terminate the service. Then I was told that I owed many hundreds of dollars, termination or no.

Read your contract, I was told.

Under no circumstance would I have signed up with this business had I known that I would be contractually bound to pay over $1500 for 3 years, whether or not I used the service, or if I decided to terminate the service.

If you go with Frontpoint, you are advised to ask lots and lots of questions, and don't click on anything until you know exactly what you are getting into. That click is equivalent to a signature.
